We attended the "Heartbeat" classic car rally at Goathland (Aidensfield) but were put off by the exorbitant prices of the hotels and Guesthouses near the village, so looked further afield and found this gem at Great Ayton.
Booked for 4 days and were totally impressed by the Farm. So very clean, a warm welcome and nice little touches, like packets od Snickers, Bounty's, Kit kats to take on our trips out. Everything was top quality, plenty of T- bags, sugar and milks for our evening and morning cuppa, not stingy bits like other hotels we've visited.
All food was top quality, big well cooked breakfasts, cereal, plate of fruit and big mugs for tea. With other hotels, you usually only get small cups, but here, pint mugs.
En-suite perfect with a proper shower cubicle, not having to step into a silly bath, especially with our bad legs and hips.
Although no lift in the place, there is a stair lift which was a Godsend especially with our mobility problems.
And a most important thing is that there was off road private parking which was essential as I am paronid about leaving the classic 67 Mustang unattended on the road especially overnight.
So, all in all Totally recommend the Mill Farm for a memorable quiet stay.

A superb place to stay and enjoy the scenic North Yorkshire countryside.
Room was exceptionally clean, spacious and well appointed.
Melody and her husband were welcoming and gracious hosts.
The properties set back location meant that although it's close to a fairly main road, no traffic noise could be heard.
A gem.

Everything at Mill Farm was excellent, including breakfast such a large clean room with TV lounge, King size bedroom and lovely shower room. The couple who own it work hard to keep it so good, we were more than impressed Dave & Lesley

First of all - for me, most stunning - it is the cleanest b&b I've ever seen.
Melody and her husband are very welcoming people. I was greeted with a lot of smiles and kindness. I will repeat myself, but they have the cleanest rooms I've ever seen (and I'm staying in Middlesbrough once, twice a month for the last two years). Also, Melody has served me a delicious breakfast, specially made for my vegetarian diet. Ow, did I mention that their coffee is also perfect? Yes, it is! I definitely recommend this B&B for anyone who needs to stay in the area but doesn't want to book himself in M'bro town centre.

Excellent accommodation, very roomy rooms, lovely hosts & breakfasts. Stairs also have a stairlift for those that need a little help. Nice touch.

Mill farm was very clean nice size rooms lovely and comfortable and very welcoming. We really enjoyed are stay. And food was really nice. I would recommend mill farm and would definitely stay again

Quiet location. Owners were wonderful. Did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one. Lovely showers, comfy beds, amazing breakfasts.

What a fabulous find! Melody and Graeme are great hosts, nothing is to much bother and delicious belly buster breakfasts! Lovely rooms.
Will definitely stay here again if we are this way.
